Ingredients:
- 6 medium tomatoes (about 3 cups, chopped)
- 5 small onions (about 1 ½ cups, diced)
- 1 small bunch of fresh dill (about ½ cup, chopped)
- 2 red chilies (about 2 tablespoons, chopped)
- 2 tablespoons dill seeds
- Juice of 1 medium lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup olive oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a large bowl. - Grind the Aromatics
Using a mortar and pestle, finely grind the chili, dill seeds, and a pinch of salt until they
form a paste. Add this mixture to the bowl with the tomatoes. - Chop the Dill and Onions
Finely chop the fresh dill and onions, then add them to the bowl. - Season and Mix
Add the salt, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir everything together until well combined. - Adjust to Taste, Serve
& Enjoy
Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve with fresh bread or as a side dish!
