Ingredients:

  • 6 medium tomatoes (about 3 cups, chopped)
  • 5 small onions (about 1 ½ cups, diced)
  • 1 small bunch of fresh dill (about ½ cup, chopped)
  • 2 red chilies (about 2 tablespoons, chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons dill seeds
  • Juice of 1 medium lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tomatoes
    Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  2. Grind the Aromatics
    Using a mortar and pestle, finely grind the chili, dill seeds, and a pinch of salt until they
    form a paste. Add this mixture to the bowl with the tomatoes.
  3. Chop the Dill and Onions
    Finely chop the fresh dill and onions, then add them to the bowl.
  4. Season and Mix
    Add the salt, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Adjust to Taste, Serve
    & Enjoy

    Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve with fresh bread or as a side dish!
